2010

Challenge Mobiles Begins

TechCrazy's story began under the name Challenge Mobiles, operating from a local service station.

From day one, our focus was simple: provide dependable technology with honest service and build lasting customer relationships within the local community.

2016

First Dedicated Retail Store

As customer demand continued to grow, we opened our first dedicated retail store in Manurewa.

This marked an important milestone in our journey, allowing us to serve more customers through a permanent retail presence.

2017

Expanding Further South

Growth continued with the opening of another physical location in Invercargill.

Serving customers across different regions reinforced our commitment to making quality technology more accessible throughout New Zealand.

2018

Becoming TechCrazy

A new chapter began. Challenge Mobiles officially became TechCrazy, reflecting a broader vision that extended beyond mobile phones into laptops, tablets, accessories, repairs, and premium refurbished technology.

The rebrand established the identity customers know today.

2020–22

Adapting Through Uncertainty

Like many businesses, we faced significant challenges during the pandemic.

Changing customer needs, supply chain disruptions, and store closures reshaped the retail landscape. Rather than standing still, we adapted, strengthened our operations, and prepared for the next stage of growth.

Returning to Retail

With renewed momentum, TechCrazy reopened its physical retail presence in Massey, reconnecting with customers through in-person service and support.

Expanding into Manukau

The opening of our Manukau location strengthened our presence in Auckland and made it even easier for customers to shop, trade in devices, and access expert repair services.

Growing Beyond New Zealand

TechCrazy expanded its digital reach by growing its e-commerce operations and serving customers in Australia, marking the beginning of our next stage of growth beyond New Zealand.

Auckland Hub & Showroom

The opening of our Mt Wellington showroom and Auckland hub represents another exciting milestone in our journey.
