We stand behind our products with clear, reliable warranty terms for your peace of mind.
Warranty Coverage
- 6-month warranty on all pre-owned products.
- 12-month warranty on all brand-new products.
- 6-month warranty on refurbished/reconditioned products (effective from 2 July 2025, unless otherwise specified).
To make a warranty claim, email returns@techcrazy.co.nz. We'll guide you through the process.
Note: Warranty repairs may take 15–21 working days. The warranty period starts from the purchase date (invoice date).
Important: Warranty is void if the product shows signs of physical damage, liquid exposure, or third-party tampering.
Warranty Claim Requirements
Please provide your original purchase receipt from our website or store. Claims cannot be processed without valid proof of purchase.
What’s Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Liquid damage or water exposure
- Physical damage (e.g., cracks, drops, or burns)
- Theft, fire, or accidental loss
- Misuse, neglect, or incorrect operation
- Unauthorized or improper installation
- Damage due to incorrect voltage or power surge
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, or corrosion
- Use of incompatible or non-genuine accessories
- Software faults, including viruses or password lockouts
- Self-repair or third-party intervention
- SIM damage (where device is not compatible with the SIM type)
Reminder: Products opened, altered, or serviced by a non-authorized party are not eligible for warranty repair or replacement.
Car Audio Warranty Conditions
All car audio equipment must be professionally installed to remain eligible for warranty.
A valid installer invoice or certificate is required for any warranty claim. Damage caused by incorrect installation or power surge is not covered.
Additional Conditions
- A $49 inspection fee applies if a product shows signs of physical or liquid damage.
- TechCrazy retains ownership of products and parts until full payment is received.
- Parts used during repair remain the property of TechCrazy until fully paid.
- We are not responsible for any data loss during repair. Please back up your data beforehand.
- If we cannot contact you within 30 days of repair completion, we reserve the right to retain or dispose of the device.
