Yes. TechCrazy is a New Zealand-based electronics retailer that has been serving Kiwi customers since 2017. We operate physical Auckland store locations and have served over 100,000 customers across NZ. Does TechCrazy ship across New Zealand?

Yes. We ship NZ-wide. Most orders are dispatched quickly, with many deliveries arriving within 1–2 working days depending on location and courier processing times.

Does TechCrazy offer Click & Collect?

Yes. We offer fast Click & Collect from our Auckland stores. Many orders are ready within approximately 24 hours during business hours.

Refurbished Devices & Quality

Are TechCrazy refurbished devices reliable?

Yes. Every refurbished device undergoes a comprehensive testing and inspection process before being approved for sale, helping ensure consistent quality and reliability. Whether you choose Brand New, Open Box, As New, Very Good, Good, or Acceptable condition, every device sold by TechCrazy undergoes strict quality assurance and inspection standards before reaching its new owner. Every device is guaranteed to be fully functional and ready for everyday use.

What condition are refurbished devices in?

Our condition grading system makes it easy to choose the option that matches your expectations and budget. Condition grading reflects cosmetic appearance only and does not affect core functionality:

🆕 Brand New: Factory Sealed. Never Used. Brand New devices are supplied in original manufacturer condition and have never been previously owned or used. Expect factory-sealed packaging, unused condition, and original accessories.

📦 Open Box: Near New cosmetic condition. Outer packaging may have been unsealed, but the screen and housing are pristine.

✨ As New: Near Perfect presentation. The device has no visible wear on the display screen and a near-perfect housing frame.

🌟 Very Good: Balanced value with minor cosmetic wear. Light marks on housing and light wear on display panel, fully tested and working perfectly.

👍 Good: Great savings with visible wear. Display may carry light scratches, and housing exhibits noticeable structural signs of use while remaining fully functional.

💡 Acceptable: Maximum savings with noticeable wear. Noticeable scratches on display pane and heavy marks on housing, backed by complete technical verification.

Does an Acceptable condition device perform differently from an As New device?

No. Performance, functionality, and reliability remain the same across all grades. The grading system refers only to cosmetic appearance. Performance Doesn't Change. Appearance Does. No matter which condition grade you choose, every device is inspected, tested, and approved for sale by our team.

Are batteries tested?

Absolutely. Battery performance and charging functionality are assessed as part of our quality assurance process to help ensure reliable everyday use.

Can refurbished devices have scratches?

Yes. Depending on the grade selected, devices may show varying levels of cosmetic wear. All cosmetic expectations are clearly outlined within this guide (e.g., Very Good features minor wear, Good features light scratches, and Acceptable carries deeper noticeable wear).

Is my personal data secure?

Yes. All devices are professionally wiped and previous user data is securely removed before sale via our rigorous data security and sanitisation diagnostics pipeline.

What happens if I experience an issue?

How does TechCrazy test devices?

The TechCrazy Certification Process does more than simply clean and package devices. Every eligible refurbished device follows a structured 6-point quality assurance process managed by our team:

1. Physical & Cosmetic Inspection: Every incoming device is inspected for structural integrity and carefully assessed to determine its cosmetic grade.
2. Advanced Hardware Diagnostics: Professional diagnostic tools verify the health and performance of critical hardware components.
3. Battery Assessment: Battery health, charging performance, and overall reliability are evaluated to help ensure dependable daily use.
4. Feature & Connectivity Testing: Essential functions including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cameras, microphones, speakers, charging ports, buttons, and sensors are thoroughly tested.
5. Data Security & Sanitisation: All previous user data is securely removed, and devices are professionally prepared for their next owner.
6. Final Certification Check: Before being approved for sale, every device undergoes a final inspection to verify functionality, appearance, and overall quality.

Warranty & Repairs

Does TechCrazy offer warranty?

Warranty Coverage:
- 12-month warranty on brand-new and open-box products
- 12-month warranty on refurbished and pre-owned products graded As New, Very Good or Good (purchased on or after 1 October 2026)
- 6-month warranty on products graded Acceptable

Warranty periods begin from the purchase date. Backed by local warranty protection for added peace of mind.

What does the warranty not cover?

Warranty does not cover: Physical damage, Liquid damage, Misuse or neglect, Accidental damage, Power surges, Third-party repairs, Software issues, Damage from non-genuine accessories. Products showing signs of tampering or unauthorised repair may void warranty eligibility.

How do I register a repair?

You can register a repair through the TechCrazy Repair Portal. After logging in: Select “Register Return Job”, Go to Repair Jobs, Click “Add New Job”, Submit device details, and Receive your job number. Keep the job number for future reference.

WINZ & Finance

Does TechCrazy help with WINZ quotes?

Yes. We can assist eligible customers with WINZ quotes for approved products. Many customers use WINZ support for laptops, phones, tablets, and essential technology purchases.

Does TechCrazy offer finance options?

Yes. Finance and payment options may be available on selected products and promotions. Availability can vary depending on the provider and eligibility requirements.

Product Questions

Does TechCrazy sell Chromebooks & MacBooks?

Yes. We offer refurbished and pre-owned MacBooks depending on stock availability. We also stock Chromebooks which are popular because they are lightweight, easy to use, and ideal for everyday tasks. All Apple devices sourced are completely verified genuine hardware units.

Can I buy gaming products or smartwatches?

Yes. We stock gaming consoles, accessories, and audio products. We also offer smartwatches, wireless earbuds, phone accessories, chargers, cables, and smart gadgets.
